Question:

Clavister cOS Core licenses have a throughput restriction, does this restriction include traffic that is flowing through a loopback interface pair? An example would be if we have a license that has a 200 Mbit throughout limit and we send 50 Mbit in and out of a loopback pair, does that then use 100 Mbit of the license limit?

Answer:

No, the license throughput restriction does not apply to loopback interfaces as that would (to quote a member of the Clavister R&D team) make virtual routers “suck”.
